Watching sports in downtown Nashville presents an unusual problem.
There are televisions everywhere.
That does not mean every bar is actually a good place to watch the game.
A television hanging over a stage while a band plays at full volume is technically showing football. It is not necessarily the same thing as having a seat, game audio, multiple screens and a crowd that cares what happens on third down.
So I would divide downtown sports watching into two categories:
I came downtown specifically to watch the game.
and
I want to watch the game without giving up the Broadway experience.
Those lead to different bars.
5 Leaf Clover Sports at Category 10: Best Pure Sports Setup Near Broadway
If the game itself is the priority, 5 Leaf Clover Sports inside Category 10 is probably the most obvious starting point.
Category 10 sits at 120 2nd Avenue North, right in the downtown entertainment core.
Its dedicated sports space is built around a colossal main screen, additional screens around the room, live sports tickers and game-day food.
That matters.
You are not asking a honky-tonk bartender whether one television in the corner can be switched away from a music video.
The room was built for sports.
And because it is inside Category 10, your group can still walk into an entirely different Broadway-style environment without leaving the building.
One person wants the game.
Another wants live music.
Another has apparently decided line dancing is now a core personality trait.
Category 10 can absorb all of them.
Almost Friday Sporting Club: Best Dedicated Sports-Bar Party
Almost Friday Sporting Club is at 415 4th Avenue South, a short walk from Broadway and Bridgestone.
This is a sports bar in the more familiar sense.
Televisions.
Game-day food.
Beer.
Arcade and bar games.
A crowd that understands why you are staring at a screen rather than admiring Nashville's architecture.
The venue actively programs game-day events and combines sports with more of a party atmosphere than a quiet neighborhood pub.
I would choose Almost Friday when the group wants to watch sports together, but still wants the room to feel like part of a Nashville trip rather than a generic television bunker.
It is especially useful if Broadway itself is not required until after the game.
Watch first.
Walk to the honky-tonks afterward.
Jonathan's Grille: Best Traditional Sports-Grille Choice
Jonathan's Grille on 3rd Avenue North sits toward the north side of downtown.
It is farther from Lower Broadway than the first two choices, but it is a more conventional sports-grille setup.
Lots of televisions.
Large menu.
Bar food that goes well beyond one plate of emergency nachos.
A place designed around actually sitting down for a game.
That makes Jonathan's useful when you want the sports-bar experience first and downtown tourism second.
I would especially consider it for a longer game when the idea of standing for three hours on Broadway sounds less charming than it did when everyone packed their suitcase.
Acme Feed & Seed: Best Compromise for a Split Group
Acme at 101 Broadway is one of my favorite answers to the question:
What if half the group cares about the game and half absolutely does not?
Acme has televisions and a sports-friendly second-floor setup, but it is still unmistakably a Broadway destination.
There is food.
There is music.
There is the rooftop.
There is the river.
The sports watchers can watch sports.
The person who considers football an unfortunate interruption between commercials can wander upstairs.
That flexibility matters with groups.
The best sports bar is not always the one with the most screens.
Sometimes it is the one that prevents six people from having to negotiate an entirely new itinerary.
Tin Roof Broadway: Best If You Want to Stay on Broadway
Tin Roof at 316 Broadway has plenty of televisions and a venue layout that makes it useful for game watching while remaining fully inside the Lower Broadway experience.
I would not choose it over a dedicated sports room if my entire reason for being downtown was a playoff game.
I would choose it when I wanted:
game + Broadway + live music + food
without moving the group across downtown.
Tin Roof has also hosted dedicated watch parties, which is exactly the distinction I care about.
On a normal day, televisions may simply be part of the room.
For a major game, check whether the venue is actively promoting the broadcast.
That is how you know whether the game is scenery or the actual event.
Teddy's Tavern: Best Before or After a Bridgestone Event
Teddy's location across from the Bridgestone area makes it useful for Predators games and arena events.
This is less about declaring it Nashville's ultimate television cathedral and more about geography.
If you are already walking toward Bridgestone, a nearby bar with food, drinks and televisions can make much more sense than hiking ten blocks because somebody on the internet gave another sports bar a higher score.
Downtown game-day decisions are often logistical.
Where are you coming from?
Where are you going afterward?
How much of Broadway do you want mixed into the experience?
That matters as much as screen count.
Where Should You Watch a Titans Game?
If you want a dedicated sports environment downtown, I would start with 5 Leaf Clover Sports or Almost Friday Sporting Club.
If you want to watch while staying integrated into Broadway, I would look at Acme or Tin Roof.
The Titans stadium being across the river also means game days can change downtown traffic dramatically.
If you are driving, plan around that before kickoff rather than discovering a road closure while your navigation app repeatedly asks you to make an impossible left turn.

Where Should You Watch a Predators Game?
For Predators games, Bridgestone Arena changes the geography completely.
You are already sitting beside Broadway.
That means I care less about finding Nashville's theoretical best sports bar and more about finding somewhere convenient before or after the arena.
Category 10, Tin Roof, Acme, Teddy's and other downtown sports-friendly bars all become logical depending on your route.
If you do not have tickets and are coming downtown specifically to watch, a dedicated sports room is still the better choice.
Will Broadway Bars Put the Game On?
Often, yes.
But do not assume every venue will prioritize it.
Broadway bars are live-music businesses first.
A television may be playing the game while the room is focused on a band.
The sound may be music rather than commentary.
One floor may be sports-friendly while another is doing something completely different.
If the game matters, contact the venue or check its current events/social channels.
For a Super Bowl, playoff game, rivalry game or major local event, many bars actively promote watch parties.
That is a much stronger signal than simply seeing "TVs" in a list of amenities.
Game Day Changes Downtown
Sports do not happen in isolation here.
A Predators game lets out beside Broadway.
A Titans game moves thousands of people across the river and through downtown.
Major college games and tournament events can fill bars that would otherwise be easy to enter.
That means you should think about crowd conditions, not just the television.
What Time Does Broadway Nashville Get Busy?
And before you leave:
Check the current On Broadway live feeds.
If downtown is already packed two hours before your game, perhaps do not begin the evening by trying to park directly beside Bridgestone.

If I wanted to stay fully on Broadway:

If I were using Bridgestone as the center of the night:
Teddy's or whichever sports-friendly stop best fits the route.
The Practical Answer
Downtown Nashville is not short on televisions.
The real question is what kind of experience you want around the television.
For a serious game, pick a place designed for sports.
For a vacation night where the game is only one part of the plan, stay closer to Broadway and let the rest of downtown remain accessible.
And for any major local sports day, check current downtown conditions before you commit to your route.
